Providing local support
We run local Bumps, Babies and Toddler (BBT) groups in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Each group meets monthly and is either free or subsidised, thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. These sessions offer a safe and welcoming space to chat, play, and connect with other families of multiples for peer support and friendship. All families with, or expecting multiples are warmly welcome.

CENTRAL EDINBURGH - West end
When: Monthly, every first Wednesday, 9:30am - 12pm (can stay longer if you’d like!)
Where: MakeBelieve, 3 Drumsheugh Place, Edinburgh, EH3 7PT
Cost: There is an entry fee, but as a charity, we’re able to reduce the cost with support from the National Lottery Community Fund, making the group more accessible to a wider range of families.

When: Monthly, every fourth Monday, 10am - 12pm

West Lothian - Livingston
When: Monthly, every second Monday, 10:45am - 12:45pm

other local twIn & Multiple meet ups
These groups are independently run by other charities and not-for-profit organisations across the Lothians, and not by ELTMC. However, we know how valuable it is to connect with other local multiple birth families and have access to safe, welcoming play spaces — which is why we highly recommend them.
Play Multiplied Playgroup meets regularly on Thursdays in Musselburgh. Follow them on Facebook to book your spot.
Noah’s Ark Playgroup, hosted by Home-Start East Lothian, takes place every Monday in Haddington. You can follow them on Facebook and drop in to join a session.

Many baby classes and playgroups that aren’t specifically for twins or multiples are still very welcoming to families with more than one little one. Our Facebook group is a great resource, filled with local recommendations, supportive class leaders, and tips on places that offer twin-friendly discounts.
