Almost 50 years of supporting our members

ELTMC began in the summer of 1978, when six mums of twins gathered in a living room in Edinburgh. Since then, we've grown into a thriving community of nearly 500 parents of multiples, playing a key role in supporting families across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

We are proud to be affiliated with Twins Trust, a UK-wide organisation dedicated to saving lives and supporting families with twins, triplets and more.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide support and encouragement to the primary caregivers of twins, triplets, and higher-order multiples. We aim to promote the education and social development of pre-school multiples and their siblings, with a strong focus on play-based learning. We also work to raise awareness — both among the public and within the medical community — of the unique needs faced by families with multiples.

Being a parent of multiples is both a privilege and a challenge. The club has provided so much support to me and my family and I am honoured to be able to support our members in their journey as multiple parents/caregivers
— Lucy McGreal, Previous Chair
